Student leadership opportunities
Our Lady of Lourdes students have abundant opportunities to serve the church, school, and community. Such opportunities help build compassion and leadership skills in our students. Our middle school leadership group, Lourdes Leaders as well as all middle school students are actively involved in school leadership roles. See our school video.
Lourdes Leaders
Lourdes Leaders is a school leadership group available to middle school students through their electives. These students take a lead role in encouraging student participation in activities such as the jog-a-thon, various holiday activities and observances, Catholic Schools Week activities, and can represent the school at our annual Open House. Lourdes Leaders are role models for students in younger classes and a shining example of an Our Lady of Lourdes student.
Buddy Program
Our Lady of Lourdes students love being buddies! This is a wonderful tradition which builds connection between our entire student body. The older students become thoughtful mentors that the younger students can look up to
as leaders. Kindergarten – 2nd grade students are paired with our Middle School students. Buddies engage in a variety of fun activities and attend weekly Mass together.
Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts
Scouting is a great way to develop confidence, leadership skills, a heart for serving other, good citizenship skills, and work to stay phyically active. At Our lady of Lourdes there are troops for both boys and girls who
are interested. They are an important part of our community.
